Five of the region’s best bands are coming together on June 7 for the Arkansas Summer Shakedown, an exclusive showcase at George’s Majestic in Fayetteville. Included in the lineup are deFrance, Jamie Lou & the Hullabaloo, Dazz & Brie, Atlantis Aquarius, Foggy Bobcat, with Dylan Earl on tap to serve as the evening’s emcee.

Drew deFrance, founder of the Little Rock band deFrance, organized the Arkansas Summer Shakedown. “I wanted to host a summer music event with some of my best friends and favorite artists. I’ve always loved George’s and couldn’t think of a better venue for the show.”

Atlantis Aquarius (Dallas, TX) and Foggy Bobcat (Fayetteville) will perform in the Lounge. Born from the stars and rooted in Texas, Atlantis Aquarius blends atmospheric psychedelia with golden era rock and roll. Foggy Bobcat is a four piece rock band with a diverse set of original music ranging from smooth bluesy grooves to hard and heavy bangers.

On the Main Stage deFrance (Little Rock) will start the night, followed by Jamie Lou & the Hullabaloo (Fayetteville), with Dazz & Brie (Little Rock) closing the evening. deFrance has been called the “hardest working band in Arkansas,” racking up more than 600 shows since forming in 2015. Jamie Lou & the Hullaballoo have been called a modern Fleetwood Mac and equated to a female-fronted Wilco, with the sound of a smooth bluesy rhythm infused with folk and old country lyrics. Dazz & Brie is a rock & soul woman-fronted duo and band known for combining heavy rock instrumentation with soulful harmonies to create music that transcends all ages.

“This show is gonna slap! Personally, it’s the most highly anticipated MC’ing event of my career,” Dylan Earl mentioned. “I can’t wait to get wavey on Dickson with the friends and family. This is an Arkansas all-star gut-slamming cast not to be missed!”

Dazz notes that they are “excited to invade Fayetteville with this lineup of bands! The night is going to be full of intertwined genres, fun, and dancing!” Brie adds that “the only way this night could get any better is if we added tacos to the lineup.”
