About the NWA Rocks Music Awards
NWA Rocks’s Local Music Awards (LMA) will be presented every year to the musicians who call Northwest Arkansas their home and whose dedication, spirit, and achievements over the last year have without a doubt established them as a contributing force to one of the most robust and diverse music scenes in the country. The LMA nominating committee consists of a variety of music industry experts including journalists from music publications, radio personalities, talent buyers, event planners, record label reps and more.
The goal of NWA Rocks’s Local Music Awards is to celebrate and recognize some of the area’s best musical achievements. The LMA Nomination Committee also selects a winner in three Individual Award categories. These awards are presented to an artist or band in recognition for years of outstanding achievement and contribution to the Northwest Arkansas music scene.
How the LMA’s operate
- January 31 through May 31 – Fans Submit their Suggestions for Nominations
- 6/30/2019 – The NWA Rocks Local Music Award Nominating Committee announces Nominees for each category.
- Public, online voting from July 25th to August 15st
- Winners are announced in September 30th.
