It is no secret now. TOTM had made this announcement earlier this week. The Country Life Festival in Illinois scheduled for July was canceled too .

“It is with great regret that due to circumstances beyond our control, we are unable to hold Thunder on the Mountain which was due to take place June 26 – 28 near Ozark, AR. A separate statement regarding ticket refunds will be made direct to ticket holders.”

Many people took to the TOTM Facebook page and have made their opinions clear about the news. Most placing blame and utter disgust in how TOTM has handled this cancellation, however some did chime in to wish TOTM and Pipeline Productions their support. Speculation as to why the event was cancelled has not been verified by any TOTM staff, however they have stated again that it was due to  circumstances beyond their control nor their Sponsors. We wish TOTM well and hope that they will continue to provide great events as they have in the past.

The separate statement regarding ticket refunds came via email and reads…

“It is with great sadness that we notify you that we are unable to hold Thunder on the Mountain. We have had to cancel the event due to circumstances beyond our control. Per the policy of Pipeline Ticketing, full refunds will be given on all orders within 90 days. If you purchased your passes from an Official Ticket Outlet, you may receive your refund during business hours directly within that business. Please know that we are working diligently to satisfy each and every patron. We appreciate you and greatly apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused.”

Many are now wondering what they will do for the weekend of the event while still waiting for their refunds. We have placed a lengthy list of live music events at www.rockingigs.com that include a show in Alma with National Rockers. Saving Abel at Warren’s Rec Room and even an alternate Country Music Event put on by one of the TOTM acts.
